Scanning PDF reports into EMR

We are able to email and download the PDF reports of our patient's screenings to our computer. However, when we attempt the upload the PDF file to our EMR Eclipse, parts of the PDF are blacked out. The headings of the tables are present but the results within the tables are blacked out. The pictures, our logo, the Posture Screen logo, and the heading with the patient's name and date are present but the headings such as "Anterior View" or "Postural Displacements" are blacked out as well. Have you encountered such an issue and do you know of any way to resolve it? The PDF files are not blacked out when we view them in an email or saved to our computers, just when they are uploaded to Eclipse.

You should be able to upload the PDFs directly, and not have to “scan” anything. With that said, we have countless EHRs and other management softwares that import PDFs generated from our apps, and do not have any issues.

It is not the PDFs though, perhaps a settings on your Eclipse software. You need to check with them. If you can view the PDFs fine elsewhere, the problem narrows down your EHR as the problem. Sorry we cant be more helpful. But check with the EHR company. Steve
